*Phaedra Parks of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” explains why she got so emotional while driving her oldest son Ayden’s to his first day of school.
In an interview with Us Weekly, the 44-year-old said she tears up just thinking about that moment, which was captured in the current eighth season of the Bravo series. While driving her 5-year-old to start kindergarten, he told his mom that he was scared but assured her that he’ll always be her little boy.
“Just as a mom, when he said, ‘Am I going to be your baby?’ it was emotional to me just to hear that fear because I teach him, ‘We fear nothing,'” Parks says tearfully. “So when he said that in the car, it just broke my heart.”
