*The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) and BET Networks held its’ first annual awards show, the ABFF Awards.
The ABFF an annual event dedicated to showcasing entertainment content made by and about people of African descent to a worldwide audience is celebrating 20 years this year. In a time during the hastag era of #OscarSoWhite, it is quite fitting that BET would air and produce a show to celebrate the achievements in cinema and television.
