Done Deal: Ben Carson Has Endorsed Donald Trump (WATCH)

*It’s now official.

After suspending his 2016 race for the White House last week, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has officially endorsed Donald Trump for President.

It happened Friday morning in Florida. Carson expressed his full support for his former opponent in a press conference.

“I want  the voice of the people to be heard,” Carson said. “I’ve come to know Donald Trump over the last few years. He’s actually a very intelligent man who deeply cares about America.”

Carson cited Trump as being a wonderful conversationalist and promised that for the remainder of the campaign season, that would be the candidate voters would begin to see.

“There’s two different Donald Trumps,” he continued. “There’s the one you see on the stage and there’s the one that’s very cerebral, sits there and considers things very carefully.”

This is an interesting development for observers of the GOP campaign trail because when Carson was leading the pack , the two had serious differences to say the least, with Trump viciously attacking Carson verbally as he does with all his opponents. However,  Carson says he and Trump have “buried the hatchet” in order to focus on the greater good for the country.

EARLIER WE REPORTED ….

*They say politics makes strange bedfellows, this is just plain crazy. But then again, everything about the Republican race for the White House borders on insanity.

Bottom line: Ben Carson, who recently suspended his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, plans to endorse Donald Trump on Friday morning, reports the Washington post.

The endorsement, perhaps the most high-profile nod for Trump since New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie backed him, was finalized Thursday morning when Carson met with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, the luxury club owned by the Republican front-runner, the people said. The sources requested anonymity to discuss private conversations.

Friday’s announcement will also take place at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., where the onetime rivals will appear alongside one another at a news conference.

Armstrong Williams, Carson’s business manager, confirmed that the pair met Thursday but declined to comment further. A Trump campaign spokesperson declined to comment about the meeting or a possible endorsement.
