*To preserve her voice the day before a show, Mariah Carey doesn’t speak a single word to anyone.

“She cannot speak the day before a performance,” E!’s Jeff Olde — who oversees the production of Mariah Carey’s new reality show, “Mariah’s World,” told the New York Times in an article published Tuesday (March 15).

“She knows exactly what she wants but she has to communicate through writing or sign language, and it’s a sort of a joke within her group, because she has to preserve her voice.”

As previously reported, the reality series follows Carey and her team behind the scenes at her Las Vegas residency “Mariah #1 to Infinity.” The show is scheduled to premiere later this year.

“I thought it would be a good opportunity to kind of, like, show my personality and who I am, even though I feel like my real fans have an idea of who I am,” Carey told the Times. “A lot of people have misperceptions about this and that.”

While “Mariah’s World” will also document the superstar planning her wedding to her billionaire fiancé, James Packer, don’t expect to see her man make an appearance.

“He’s a legit businessman,’’ she said. “It’s not really his thing to be, like, traipsing all over Europe and hanging out with all my crew and dancers and singers.”

Similarly, 4-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan, who Carey shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon, won’t be featured on the series.

“I don’t want to do anything that’s exploitative,” she added. “They haven’t been filmed at all yet. There might be a couple of moments, but it’s not about making them the stars of the show. They’re too young to make that decision.”
