*Michael Ealy has joined the cast of LD Entertainment’s reboot of supernatural thriller “Jacob’s Ladder.”
According to Variety, the reboot is a modern-day paranoid action thriller about two brothers. In the 1990 original Tim Robbins played Jacob, a Vietnam veteran whose experiences prior to and during the war resulted in flashbacks and hallucinations that continued to haunt him.
David Rosenthal, who directed Ealy in “The Perfect Guy,” is set to direct the remake.
Will Packer Productions’ James F. Lopez will executive produce.
Principal photography is set to begin mid-May.
Ealy’s credits include “Think Like a Man,” “For Colored Girls,” “About Last Night” and “2 Fast 2 Furious.”
