*Michelle Obama is saluting women and girls with a new track featuring a number of famous voices.
“This Is For My Girls,” recorded in support of the Obamas’ Let Girls Learn initiative as well as the First Lady’s #62MillionGirls campaign, features Zendaya, Kelly Rowland, Lea Michele, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monae, Jadagrace, Chloe & Halle and a rap from Missy Elliott.
“This is for my ladies like soldiers, we stand up/ Remember when Tupac told us keep our head up/ And even when the times get rough, we get up,” raps Missy (who also participated in Michelle Obama’s SXSW keynote today, pictured above).

Described as a “global call-to-action,” the track was written by power ballad guru Diane Warren and is available for download on iTunes.
