*An alleged pistol-whipping incident from last June resulted in an indictment for Rick Ross.

Although the MMG rapper collected several charges — including aggravated assault, kidnapping, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm while committing a crime – his lawyer, Steve Sadow, maintained his client was acting in self-defense.

Ross’ case stems from an encounter he had with his groundskeeper, Jonathan Zamudio. According to Ross, he took to defending his home in light of Zamudio partying with cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Sadow went on to mention to the court that Ross should be immune from prosecution because allegedly Zamudio was committing felonies while staying at Ross’ guesthouse at his Georgia-based estate.

News of Ross’ legal defeat comes as he generates talk of a different type for not being a fan of Chris Rock’s opening monologue during the 88th Academy Awards.

Chatting with Washington DC’s 93.9 Fam in the Morning, the “B.M. F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)” entertainer admitted that wasn’t feeling Rock’s hosting time on Hollywood’s biggest night. If that wasn’t enough, Ross added that he does not think Rock is funny at all.

“Chris Rock, he a cornball. Let’s keep it real,” Ross said. “I ain’t even finna kick it with y’all like that. Chris Rock a cornball. And I’ma leave it right there. It wasn’t funny. He ain’t the one, you dig. I’m not fan of his.”
