Black Voices  in Media Panel Discussion

The discussion, moderated by news anchor Cheryl Wills, addressed the crisis in Black media and highlighted the value and importance of supporting Black voices in media to further expand the narratives around Black men and women. Mr. Byrd’s appearance was arranged by The BulLion Foundation.

The role of Black voices in media remains essential. They are needed as a source of information of issues relevant to our community.

The program explored: how Blacks in media serve and impact the Black community; the challenges faced in disseminating the information and filling the void of mainstream media to tell our stories and narratives.

Plus,  how  individuals can be supportive of the work and the role that Black media has in the community.
