*Reality TV star Antonia “Toya” Wright is currently promoting her new, self-published novel titled “How to Lose a Husband,” and she hit up the Breakfast Club on New York’s Power 105 to talk about her latest work, which she describes as a “fiction book based off of real-life experiences,” and she considers it to be a “modern day ‘Waiting to Exhale.”

During the interview, Toya opens up about her drama with singer K. Michelle and the hall pass she once gave her estranged husband, rapper Mickey “MeMpHitz” Wright. She also explains that she’s learning to accept that her 17-year-old daughter Reginae Carter has a boyfriend, as well as her relationship with Reginae’s father, rapper Lil Wayne.

Below are excerpts from the interview:

Her thoughts on K. Michelle:

I DON’T have a problem with K. Michelle. I think she’s a very beautiful girl, very talented. The whole social media thing came about because I just felt like I was being picked on and I ignored it time and time again. You know she called me dumb and dumber. She said she was gon’ smack me on (sight). Then you laugh at my book cover….I’m a woman that wanna see all women win. I would never tear down your music or discredit what you do. Don’t discredit what I do. I just feel like the whole situation was petty. We were both given a platform and to use it in that way to kind of bash each other and go back and forth…I thought it was unnecessary.

On her new novel, “How to Lose a Husband” controversial title and self-publishing:

The reason I chose this title is because we live in a world today where negativity seems to go further than positivity. [People] made a joke out of this title but really…the moral of the story is you have to be whole before you can be anyone’s half. This is a 100 percent independent project. I wrote my first book, “Pricelesss Inspirations,” which was a New York Times bestseller, and I went through a publishing company. Horrible experience. So I decided to self-publish this book and….I’m loving every bit of it.

On the infamous “hall pass” she gave her husband:

The hall pass thing started off as a joke…a pillow talk joke. We were watching a movie and my husband is kind of into things that I’m not really into such as threesomes. Sorry, I’m not that girl. I was like I’m not really into threesomes. But that’s your sexual appetite.Everybody has different sexual appetites. So I said to him, ‘well you better take this hall pass…’ But it’s not like I gave him a hall pass and I allowed him to go cheat on me and come back when he want to. Now that never happened. When we were together, I can tell you that he didn’t use a hall pass because it never really came up like that.
