A veteran percussionist who hails originally from New York City, Al Chalk has been composing and producing world music for more than 20 years. He is thrilled to announce the launch of his debut album of world music entitled “United States of Us,” through his Booby Trap Entertainment label.
The album, with its tight rhythms, snappy horn arrangements and crisp vocals, masterfully fuses elements of Pop, Jazz, African and Latin. The result is a rich, bold and superbly unique sound. The album also includes the slick and sexy slow jam, “All I Want,” featuring vocal sensation Julio Hanson. The song was co-produced by renowned L.A. producer Lloyd Tolbert and recorded at both Lloyd’s Tolhouse Sound and Al’s ChalkTalk Music Studios.
