Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’ Special Re-Ignites Jay Z Cheating Talk

Beyonce-and-Jay-Z*Leave it to Beyoncé to steal conversation away from Donald Trump.

She did just that with her HBO special, “Lemonade,” as the visual album of the same name-dropped during the event’s airing on Saturday night. As TooFab points out, the special was filled with a healthy mix of “masterfully-shot music videos and brutal lyrics about a cheating significant other.”

Since a good bit of the special featured Mrs. Carter in scorned woman mode singing about a man who had been spending his time with a side chick, it’s no surprise folks made Mr. Carter, Jay Z, a trending item as viewers aired out their theories about each song on “Lemonade being about him.

“You can taste the dishonesty, it’s on your breath,” she purrs in “Intuition.”

“Are you cheating on me?” she asks in “Denial,” where she’s seen strolling through the streets with a baseball bat, out to smash anything she can.

“Hold up, they don’t love you like I love you,” she sings in the same track, referring to other women.

In “Anger,” she says if her man wants another woman, she’ll “wear her skin over mine.” Creepy, right? She also ends the song singing, “Tonight I’m f–ing up all your s–t, boy. This is your final warning. You know I give you life. You try this s–t again, you gonna lose your wife!”

Those helping to Beyoncé serve up her lemonade for viewers include Serena Williams, who provides “Emptiness” with some booty popping as Bey kicks off the track with a message to the other women.

“Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks,” she says while making it known that, “I ain’t thinking about you, middle fingers up!”

In addition to Williams, a strong does of reality shows up in the form of the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and Eric Garner, who were seen holding photographs of their children.

Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles makes an appearance with her daughter Blue Ivy in the video for Beyoncé’s “Accountability,” a lean towards country music that could lead folks to think “Lemonade is about her mother and grandmother.

“Am I talking about your husband or your father?” the singer says at the beginning of the song. Despite all the drama between Matthew and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, he seems to be in good standing with his daughter from his cameo.

While speculation ran rampant over Jay Z, viewers finally catch a look at him in the video for “Every Promise.”

“Now that reconciliation is possible, if we’re gonna heal, let it be glorious,” Beyoncé says, which leads to more questions about whether she forgave him if he did cheat or if all of this just pure fiction.

On an up note, the “Lemonade” concludes with memories of happy times in “Redemption.” The video is marked with wedding footage from Tina Knowles’ recent nuptials as well as footage from Beyoncé’s own wedding with Jay Z, them getting matching tattoos and Jay Z enjoying the Super Bowl with Blue Ivy.

Now that the “Lemonade” special has been released and the album is being streamed exclusively on Jay Z’s Tidal service, it’s time weigh in on all the stuff that went on in the videos.

So what say you? Was Beyoncé trying to shine a light on Jay Z’s alleged cheating? Did Jay Z cheat at all on her or are we, the viewers, trying to make much more of this “Lemonade” special than what it really is?
