*TMZ is reporting that Karrine Steffans – a.k.a. Karin Short – was granted a temporary restraining order on Monday against her husband Columbus Short, and the former “Scandal” star was ordered to move out.
In court documents, Karrine says Columbus drinks to much and goes on drunken tirades at least three times a week. She says during one incident he kicked down the door to their bedroom where she was hiding.
She says the last straw was when Columbus allegedly threatened her 18-year-old son, saying he would “whoop his ass like a man.” She tells TMZ she doesn’t want a divorce — the temporary restraining order is tough love so Columbus realizes he needs to get treatment for his drinking.
For his part, Columbus also doesn’t want a divorce, because he tells us THEY’RE NOT MARRIED. In fact, he dismisses her accusations as total BS.
The allegations could be damaging for Short, who is already on probation for felony assault.
