Future Countersues Ciara, Calls Her a ‘Flop’ & ‘Washed Up Singer’

future & ciara*Rapper Future Hendrix has filed a countersuit against his baby mama, Ciara Harris, who sued him for defamation earlier this year. Celebrity blogger theJasmineBRAND.com exclusively reports that in Future’s countersuit, he claims his ex is a” washed-up singer” whose career is dead, and her purpose for suing him was to generate publicity for less than stellar album sales.

On Monday, Ciara refused to say Future’s name while announcing names of the Billboard Music Awards nominees on the set of Good Morning America. Her snub led many to speculate that there was a gag order in effect, preventing either party from mentioning the name of the other in public.

While Ciara and her fiancé Russell Wilson are making plans to tie the knot this summer, Future wants her to never forget that, despite what she’s alleging in her lawsuit against him, he hasn’t damaged her reputation, because she hasn’t had a particularly great one to speak of in recent years.

Future is also demanding Ciara not only stop bad-mouthing him to the press, but also cover the legal fees that he has incurred as a result of her initial lawsuit. In February, Ciara sued Future, seeking $15 million in defamation and slander damages, citing the rapper’s past interviews and more recent Twitter rants against her and her fiancé, football player Russell Wilson, as grounds for the case.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club last July, Future suggested that Ciara was using their son as a prop for publicity with her new beau Wilson.

“At the end of the day, I’m not for the publicity stunts,” he said at the time. “Leave my son out of the publicity stunts. Just leave him out of your relationship.”

The pair have had a very public messy fallout since they split in August 2014. Since then, Ciara is given the public a front row seat to watch her romance with Russell play out.

“I remember telling my friend the kind of guy I wanted: a God-fearing man with a very fun spirit who loves kids and would really, truly care for me,” she told the May issue of Essence of Wilson. “I was very specific because I do believe you can have it all.”
