*Jennifer Hudson visited the “Late Late Show with James Corden” on Monday to put her special vocal sauce on “some of the hottest public domain songs around,” a.k.a., tunes that networks don’t have to pay to use.

The musician, currently in The Color Purple on Broadway, joined Corden in putting a new spin on such free ditties as “Skip to My Lou,” “Old Macdonald Had a Farm” and “London Bridge.”

“I like to take a bath, light some candles and skip to my lou,” she joked. “Don’t it feel like a public domain party, y’all?”

When Hudson started getting excited, she briefly launched into Frozen’s “Let It Go” before Corden stopped her. “No, we do not let it go! We cannot do that! That is definitely not public domain, that is insanely expensive.”

Instead, they teamed for a gospel rendition of “If You’re Happy and You Know It.”
