EUR: What is set life like when you have several comedic castmates?

Jordan Peele: At some point Peter Atencio (director) said, ‘alright just turn on the camera because they’re going to be at this for a while!’ It was such a fun movie to shoot.

Keegan-Michael Key: Every morning we’d come in, kiss, get in our chairs, crack jokes, share videos and pass our phones around!
EUR: “Key and Peele” is hilarious, how is working on a film different than the show?

EUR: “Key and Peele” is hilarious, how is working on a film different than the show?

Jordan Peele: The big thing with making a film is we have time so we can tell a whole story. I love movies because there on a big screen and you can watch with a bunch of people and a laugh, is a real laugh. And you can really root for people after a while. The romance elements in this movie between Tiffany Haddish and myself, it’s like you really want this two people to get together. With sketch you don’t have enough time to develop emotional commitment to the movie.

EUR: What can you tell us about your character?

Tiffany Haddish: I play Hi-C, who is a hardcore gangsta chick from South Central Los Angeles, so basically I’m playing myself, in my early 20s.

EUR: What was it like working with Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key?

Tiffany Haddish: I thought I was funny before but after working with them…they taught me timing and how to be more creative my brain. I love them, their great performers and teachers.

Luis Guzman: I love their brand of comedy. They’re really cool, humble, smart and they’re not into that slap sticky stuff. Their comedy is comedy that means something.
