*Michael Strahan’s seemingly sudden exit from “Live with Kelly and Michael” has little to do with co-host, Kelly Ripa, and more to do with the show’s executive producer, Michael Gelman, according to Access Hollywood.
On Wednesday, a source told the outlet exclusively, that Strahan was “not super thrilled” to be working on the daytime talk show and that Gelman was the issue.
“I know he loves Kelly, but I don’t think he was thrilled to work with EP Gelman,” the source said.
The source added that the last time they were at the show, Strahan opened up about his unhappiness. “Michael Strahan made a comment, whispering to me, ‘Man, I can’t believe I put up with this s***,'” the source told Access.
According to Access’ source, show producers had “no idea” Strahan was planning to bounce, because he “acted totally normal” during Tuesday’s show and “everything was business as usual.”
