The Revolution announce plans to do “more shows” following the death of Prince

*It’s official. The Revolution will reunite for several shows following the death of their former leader Prince, who first formed the band in 1979.

Original members Wendy Melvoin, Lisa Coleman, BrownMark, Bobby Z and Dr. Fink appeared in a video posted to BrownMark’s Facebook page Tuesday. Seated together on a sofa, Melvoin says the group decided after spending “three or four days together” grieving Prince’s death, that they would like to “come out and do some shows.” She says the group wants to let fans know “we’ll be there soon,” but gave no further details.

Drummer Bobby Z told the Star Tribune he’s “happy it’s good news” but declined further comment.
