*We’ve got an update on Prince in the wake of our previous story about his emergency landing in Moline, Illinois.

The performer was on his way home after a sold out show in Atlanta Thursday night.

Regarding the the show in the ATL, a rep said that the artist “wanted to make Thursday night’s performance in Atlanta, even though he was still not feeling well.”

Apparently he started feeling worse after leaving Atlanta, hence the emergency landing. After a brief hospital stay in Moline he boarded the plane and “is now back home,” TMZ reports.

As of this posting, the nature of the illness is still unknown. The 57-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was well enough to post a few words on Twitter about 11: 30am, assuming he posts his own tweets:

He posted this just a little while ago, hinting that he may be aware of the social-media storm the reports of his emergency landing and illness have sparked:

Here is what we posted earlier:

*TMZ is reporting that Prince was rushed to a hospital early Friday after his jet made an emergency landing in Illinois.

Sources told the website that his private plane made an unscheduled landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline just after 1 a.m., and that Prince was immediately transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

There are conflicting stories as to his current condition.

Per TMZ:

One source tells TMZ Prince is still in the hospital and “not doing well,” however another source close to the 57-year-old singer tells us he’s been released and is doing okay. The nature of the medical emergency is unclear.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had performed Thursday night in Atlanta … and he was in the air for only a short time before things went south.
