*The Cannes Film Festival, to be held from May 11 – 22, will have some sort of memorial celebration of Prince.

“There will be a tribute to Prince, but [we have] no more information right now,” a festival representative confirmed to Billboard.

Prince, who was found dead on Thursday at the age of 57, won an Oscar for his “Purple Rain” soundtrack in 1984 and also was responsible for the soundtracks of the “Batman” and Spike Lee’s “Girl 6,” which screened in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard section in 1996.
