Rachel Roy Catches Beyhive Wrath As ‘Becky with the Good Hair’

beyonce-rachel-roy*Rachel Roy isn’t making any new friends within Beyoncé’s Beyhive after responding to one of the singer’s videos from her new visual album “Lemonade.”

Throughout her latest offering, Beyoncé calls out a husband’s infidelity. Since the album dropped, along with an accompanying HBO special, speculation has run rampant about the husband-in-question being Jay Z.

Adding to the fire is a reference Beyoncé made to a woman named Becky with “good hair” while putting a lover who did her wrong on blast in the video for the song “Sorry.”

“So what are you gonna say at my funeral now that you’ve killed me?,” Beyoncé asks in the song. “Here lies the body of the love of my life whose heart I broke without a gun to my head. Here lies the mother of my children both living and dead. Rest in peace my true love, who I took for granted. Most bomb pussy, who because of me sleep evaded. Her shroud is loneliness, her god was listening. Her heaven will be a love without betrayal. Ashes to ashes, dust to side chicks.”

From there, a twerking Serena Williams and a group of beautiful black women join Beyoncé, before she says, “he better call Becky with the good hair,” a subtle reference to the drama that went down in an elevator between Beyoncé’s sister Solange and Jay Z in 2014.

Like everyone who saw the video, Roy — the woman Jay Z has been accused of having an affair with for quite some time — took note of what was going on and took to Instagram within a few hours after the “Lemonade” special aired Saturday night to post a photo that basically taunted Beyoncé and Jay Z, according to LoveBScott.

“Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens,” Roy captioned with the photo.

LoveBScott notes that Jay Z’s interaction with Roy was the reason behind the infamous elevator fight.

“Solange was defending Beyoncé in the elevator because Solange finds Jay’s friendship with Rachel to be WAY too close for comfort and it makes Solange very uncomfortable,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Beyoncé also confronted Rachel and said, ‘Don’t talk to my sister like that,’ after [Rachel] confronted Solange.”

Needless to say the Beyhive wasn’t having any of what Roy was putting out as it swarmed on social media with accusations of Roy causing drama between Beyoncé and Jay Z

Getting her fill of the criticism, Roy defended herself on Twitter, saying, “I respect love, marriages, families and strength. What shouldn’t be tolerated by anyone, no matter what, is bullying, of any kind.”

So there it is. Shots fired on both sides.

So what do you make of Beyoncé’s shade at Roy and Roy’s response? Do you buy Roy’s defense or should she just leave it all alone and keep it moving?
