*Grammy Award winning singer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Sam Moore is tired of singing his 1967 hit “Soul Man,” the iconic R&B classic he recorded as part of the duo of Sam & Dave on Stax Records.

The song was written by the late Isaac Hayes. The 80 year old soul music singer told Chris Yandek of CYInterview how he feels about the hit:

“Tired, but it is what it is. You know, you can sing any song you want to sing, every time you look around, but you know at the end of the night, you gotta do the song. If not, people aren’t gonna leave.”

Sam Moore was recently at Phil Collins first concert in years on Miami Beach back on March 11th:

“This is his comeback I’ve been told and, you know, Phil and I have been friends for let’s just say, many moons. And to see him comeback and play, it’s an honor and a pleasure.”
