*Edgar Ramírez plays Panamanian boxer Roberto Durán, who develops a fierce rivalry with American fighter Sugar Ray Leonard in the upcoming American biographical sport film “Hands of Stone.” Directed and written by Jonathan Jakubowicz, the film marks singer Usher Raymond’s big screen debut in the role of Sugar Ray. The biopic also stars Robert De Niro, Ellen Barkin and Ana de Armas. The film is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2016, by The Weinstein Company.
“I don’t know if this is the one that would win me an Oscar or not. I’m going into it offering my interpretation and my hard work and my dedication to be the best Sugar Ray ever,” Usher said in an interview with Men’s Health. “Or as good as the man can be. I’ve spoken to him, and I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to live up to him. But I’ll try to be better than him.”

In terms of landing his first leading role in a major film, Usher said, “It seems like this is a real passion project. It’s a film that everybody is so invested in, and I have the good fortune of having the character I’m playing still around.”

NBA player Shannon Brown posted a cryptic message in response to recent rumors that he’s cheating on his wife, singer Monica. He took to Instagram to deliver his response and seemed to speak on a previous motorcycle crash he survived. He shared a photo of the totaled vehicle and added the following caption:
“I survived this, so you already know I could give two [f**ks] about the lies they tell or the people that believe them. I got my own back. #InCaseYouWasWondering”
Following claims that he cheated with a woman he met via Instagram, Monica was spotted not wearing her wedding ring. She and Shannon wed in a secret ceremony at their Los Angeles home in 2010. The marriage, however, did not become a matter of public record until January 2011, when Brown told the Hip-Hop Non-Stop TV-Show. They had a second wedding ceremony for family and friends in July 2011. She has two boys from a previous relationship and she and Brown have a daughter together.
Monica initially responded to the cheating rumor by sharing a video of the children playing and added the caption, “Center of my Joy… In life tests are sure to come & because of my faith & belief that God is control I don’t run to talk about my problems because I’m too busy thanking him for the good he’s doing in my life… I’m not fake I just refuse to give the devil Glory that only God should have!!”
