*Willow Smith, 15, is all about the study of mathematics these days – more specifically, the use of mathematical equations to produce songs.

To that end, Smith says she is currently hosting underground teachings in quantum mechanics to intensify her understanding of the subject.

“It was nice to be able to talk to female students and professors about science and logic because that’s just such a man’s world,” she said of visiting the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) immediately following Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.

This revelation and more are part of a wide-ranging cover interview for the May 2016 issue of Teen Vogue. The self-proclaimed “artisan” also noted that she finds constant and consistent support in her older brother Jaden.

“We’re like binary stars, like two parts of one thing,” she said of the 17-year-old “Karate Kid” star. “I know what he’s thinking at all times. And he knows what I’m thinking. We’re not identical twins, but it feels like that in a lot of ways.”

As for sorting out her life’s path following the 2011 release of her megahit “Whip My Hair,” she said, “During that time of figuring it out, I was lost and super insecure. But then I stopped trying to find myself in these other inanimate objects, people and ideas. I realized it isn’t about finding yourself — it’s about creating yourself.”
