*Here’s your first look at “Orange Is the New Black” star Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Futer and Ben Vereen as Dr. Scott in Fox’s upcoming remake of the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

Entertainment Weekly posted the photo of Cox in the iconic role – originated by Tim Curry in the classic 1975 film. “We were on set and a reporter saw me and said I looked like the love child of Grace Jones and David Bowie,” Cox told EW. “I said, ‘That’s exactly right.’ ”

Cox, 31, says her look – from Grease Live! costume designer William Ivey Long – is inspired by the original film, but meant to be different.

“I think we mix up the look more than they did in the original,” she explains. “It’s way more elaborate and couture. [Director] Kenny Ortega had this vision that Frank was at this old theater and found these old burlesque costumes and is, like, using them and wearing them now but has altered them a bit.”

Fox’s “Rocky Horror Picture Show” remake, scheduled to air this fall, also includes Adam Lambert (Eddie), Christina Milian (Magenta) and Broadway stars Annaleigh Ashford (Columbia) and Reeve Carney (Riff Raff). Curry makes a cameo as film’s the Narrator.

The experience, for Cox, has been “magical.”

“I get tweets from people, ‘Please don’t f— up Rocky Horror Picture Show!'” Cox said, laughing. “I showed my brother pictures of me in character and he was like, ‘You were preparing your whole life for this.'”
