Kim Kardashian Kanye West arrive for the Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 2, 2016 in New York.

*In the minutes before attending Monday night’s Met Gala in New York City, Kanye West reportedly flew into one of his fits and ended up firing a security guard after he caught him trying to talk to his wife Kim Kardashian outside her room at the Waldorf Astoria.

According to the New York Daily News, Steve Stanulis lost his job at West’s request shortly after 6 p.m. while waiting along with the rest of the Kardashian-West entourage to leave for the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Per New York Daily News:

According to a second source, an assistant from Kim Kardashian and West’s camp called down to the pair’s security detail, asking that one of them bring up a package that was slated to arrive from a local store around 1:30 p.m. When Stanulis volunteered for the task, West, who was in an adjacent room in the same hallway, was heard asking loudly why the muscle for hire was chatting with his wife outside her door and saying, “This isn’t right!”

The bodyguard, formerly a member of the New York Police Department, had no comment when asked by the Daily News about the firing. “I’m a happily married man with three children and I have no comment,” he said.

Meanwhile, a source close to West’s team denies that the he had anyone fired.

“Untrue,” said the West rep. “No changes have been made to the security team.”

West reportedly had a previous run-in with Stanulis at a fashion studio on Wooster St. during Fashion Week in February when he noticed the bodyguard chatting with Kardashian.
