*After three key witnesses failed to appear in court to testify against Katt Williams, prosecutors were left with a crippled case and a motion to revoke his bond was withdrawn.
The D.A. in Hall County, GA filed a motion to revoke Katt’s bond in his criminal cases — over charges of terror threats and false imprisonment after a March incident in which he allegedly threatened to kill his bodyguard, Corey Dixon, for not “engaging in criminal activity.” Dixon claims that Williams ordered a group of people to beat him with a baseball bat and choke him.

The superstar comedian was fighting to stay out of jail, but when the three subpoenaed witnesses failed to show up and testify, Williams was not in court to celebrate his victory.
Katt’s’ attorney Drew Findling said he was pleased with the outcome and that his client has been abiding by the terms of his bond. A Hall County Magistrate Court judge allowed Williams to be released on a $60,000 bond March 9 after being charged with aggravated assault, false imprisonment and terroristic threats. He and two others were indicted March 31 by a Hall County grand jury in alleged connection to Dixon’s assault.
Katt’s later arrests for punching a 17-year-old and assault of a restaurant manager are what motivated the D.A. to file a motion to revoke his bail.

Williams is also due to stand trial for a felony count of robbery after allegedly stealing a camera from a photographer in Beverly Hills in 2014, during a night out with now-incarcerated rap mogul Suge Knight. Williams faces seven years in prison if convicted in that case, per Contact Music.
