*Madonna clapped back at critics of her Prince tribute on Monday, sharing an Instagram pic of herself decked in purple with a caption directed at her haters.
“Anyone who wants to do a tribute to Prince is welcome to. Whatever your age Gender or skin Color,” she wrote next to the pic of herself wearing a purple boa and a bag that has “DEALER” printed on it. “If you loved him and he inspired you then show it!!!! I love Prince 4 ever.”
As previously reported, Twitter exploded with comments following her tribute to Prince at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards Sunday night. Although she received some support for her performance of “Nothing Compares 2 U” and “Purple Rain” duet with Stevie Wonder,” but there were a lot of folks who simply did not like it, to put it nicely.
Also on Monday, Madonna posted a video of herself dancing with a rose in her mouth. Borrowing a line from her 1994 song “Human Nature,” she captioned the clip “This is my ‘I’m not your bitch don’t hang your s–t on me’ dance.”
