*J Cole’s Nia Long shoutout on his 2014 album “Forrest Hills,” was a topic of conversation when the actress sat down with Larry King last week. On the track “No Role Modelz,” Cole raps “My only regret was too young for Lisa Bonet’/My only regret was too young for Nia Long.” Of course the line caught the attention of Ms. Long, and Mr. King, who asked why her name has been dropped by so many rappers over the years.
“He’s really not too young. He just doesn’t know it,” she told King. She also told VIBE something similar, saying, “He thinks he’s too young for me but he’s really not. He should never underestimate the power of being young, rich, and a successful [rapper].”

King also asked Long who she would pick between J. Cole, Drake and Kendrick Lamar?
“J. Cole for sure,” she said. “I mean I like Drake but… I’m just leave my answer there.” She added “Now see, if you throw Kendrick Lamar in there… I’m a still pick J. Cole.”
45-year-old Nia is best known for her roles in the television series “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and “Third Watch,” and the films “In Too Deep,” “Boyz n the Hood,” “Friday,” “Boiler Room,” “Soul Food,” “Love Jones,” “The Best Man,” Big Momma’s House,” and the sequels to the latter two films.
She contributes her time to the Sterling Children’s Home in Barbados, as a motivational speaker. She’s also a supporter of PETA.
Long shares a son with Ime Udoka, who she dated in 2010. She also has another son from a previous relationship.
