*Well, Beyoncé let it all hang out in her recent visual album Lemonade, which largely highlights infidelity and forgiveness. Many believe the lyrics pertain to Yoncé’s husband Jay Z, and since the album’s release, the public cannot seem to stop themselves from speculating on just who “Becky with the good hair” (mentioned on the album) could be. As we’ve reported, several names have been tossed around recently – namely clothing designer Rachel Roy and singer Rita Ora – who have both denied having any extramarital trysts with Jay. That said, Roy’s initial post-Lemonade Instagram post that kicked off a huge controversy and completely befuddled the public read: “Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens.”
After the Bey Hive launched a massive social media beat down on Roy, a later (April 24th) Instagram post from the designer stated:
“I want to put the speculation and rumors to rest. My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted, it was misunderstood as something other than that,” she said. “There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally. There is no truth to the rumors.”

We’ll let you determine whose side you’re on, but the folks at RadarOnline are reporting that ‘Becky’ and Rachel Roy are one in the same and that Yoncé’s been referring to Roy in this way for years.
Below is an account of the ongoing saga from a reported insider with knowledge of the situation at hand:
“‘Becky’ has actually been a nickname that Beyoncé has called Rachel for years,” a source close to the Lemonade singer told Radar. “It isn’t just a generic name for a girl.”
The source also told Radar that Beyoncé uses the “Becky” nickname “so she never has to say Rachel’s name.”
The unnamed source also alleges that Beyoncé’s sister Solange also had a few choice words for her sibling before entering the famed elevator on the evening of last year’s Met Gala. Of course the world later learned of Jay-Z’s alleged infidelity after a video of a heated, violent exchange between Solange and Jay was uncovered.
The source continues:
“Rachel came up to Beyonce’s group and said hello to Jay Z. Beyonce said nothing to her but she didn’t make her leave. Solange started in on both Beyonce and Jay Z about not letting her around them. She was furious that Beyonce would just sit there and let Rachel hit on her man.”
Apparently, the first exchange wasn’t quite enough, so the source explains that Roy approached the group once again for a photo with Jay Z and Beyoncé , and that Beyoncé complied as to not create any friction or a scene. That’s when Solange completely lost her temper, the source reports, and began yelling at her sister not to comply because Roy would use the photo. The infamous elevator situation later ensued and the following day, Beyoncé later took aim at Roy by posting a photo on herself on Instagram wearing a t-shirt bearing singer Aaliyah’s image, the woman for whom Roy’s ex reportedly left her.
Indeed, it’s quite a tale, but readers will have to decide for themselves who to believe.
