*Stacii Jae Johnson is busy these days. For one, she has authored a steamy and provocative book entitled, “Date, Girl – 143 Reasons Why I Believe Women Should Date Multiple Men.” The book is published by Atlanta-based Waterhouse Publishing.

According to Johnson, the book explores multiple reasons why single women should date lots of men before committing to just dating one. It explores how women can discover more about themselves by learning to stop settling, be empowered, and learn the importance of not giving men exclusivity in dating until it’s well earned.

“I wrote the book because I am a single girl’s advocate and a “multi-dating philosofixer,” Johnson said. “The book was written to help single women adopt a new philosophy on dating, which means dating multiple men. It’s about how to never hand over one’s monogamy to men on a silver platter until it’s deserved.”

Johnson said that she loves helping women fix their dating lives through coaching and guiding them on the fine art of how to date multiple men simultaneously. She stressed the importance of why single women should stop being obsessive about marriage, and be more open to enjoy the journey that each date takes them on.

The idea for the book, according to Johnson, was planted in her mind and spirit several years ago. However, she hesitated in bringing it to fruition, until recently. Drawing on her personal experiences as a self-described “serial monogamist,” Johnson decided that if the book was not written now – then when?

“I was scared because I didn’t want people to think that I was a slut, or have them think that I was dating all these guys and having sex with all of them, which wasn’t the case,” she said. “I didn’t want people to think that I was a commitment phobic, or I had to have the attention of all these men because I was insecure as a woman.”

Ultimately, Johnson pushed forward with writing the book, after seeing more and more women confused about dating and easily granting monogamy to the men they were dating. A few of Johnson’s 143 reasons captured in her book include: No. 3…You learn that you are enough, No. 48…You learn that red flags mean run and you don’t sit around for another decade waiting for more red flags, No. 80…You will stop picking men out of fear, and No. 143…Dating multiple guys is the best way to find the one.

As an actress, television host, former CBS Radio host on V103, and former Atlanta fundraiser and director who once served on Atlanta’s Mayor Kasim Reed’s executive team, Johnson has experienced many men wanting to date her, and vice versa, at various times. She admits that when she dated in the past, she often gave away her prized possession of monogamy. Now, she knows better, as she feels compelled to educate and enlighten more single women about dating.

In addition to promoting her new book, Johnson is also a cast member on Centric Television’s “From The Bottom Up,” a six-part docu-series (reality show) that chronicles the rise, fall, and chance to rise again of five women who once stood at the top of their respective games. “From The Bottom Up” premiered on Saturday, Jan. 16, and will continue to air on ensuing Saturdays (9 p.m. Central, 10 p.m. Pacific).

However, Johnson remains adamant about empowering women’s decisions in dating.

“We. as women, must stop giving away the most precious gift a single woman has to give, which is monogamy,” she said. “My book will shake up everything women thought they knew about dating. It will shift their focus along the way from finding Mr. Right to first loving, respecting, honoring and empowering themselves.”
