*Congrats to “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson, who will be honored with the Lucy award for excellence in television at Women in Film’s annual Crystal + Lucy Awards fundraising gala, to be held June 15 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Since 1977, Women in Film Los Angeles has annually honored outstanding women in the entertainment industry. This year their Crystal Award for excellence in film is being given to a lineup of women producers that includes Denise Di Novi, Lauren Shuler Donner, Lucy Fisher, Lianne Halfon, Lynda Obst, Jane Rosenthal, Paula Wagner and Paula Weinstein, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell on “Game of Thrones,” will receive the group’s Max Mara “Face of the Future” award.

“We are on a mission to change the gender imbalance that is endemic to the entertainment industry; to design a more inclusive business for all women in the film, television and digital creative arenas. The women we honor this year are all catalysts for that change and exemplars in their fields,” WIFLA president Cathy Schulman said in announcing the honorees.

The theme of this year’s awards is Designing Change, highlighting the organization’s year-round commitment to design and promote initiatives and programs to increase opportunities for women on- and offscreen until sustainable gender parity is achieved.
