*Taye Diggs and “Ray Donovan” star Liev Schreiber have been added to the colossal voice cast of “My Little Pony: The Movie,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The duo join Emily Blunt, Kristen Chenoweth, Emmy Award winner Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black) and Michael Pena (Ant-Man), who will bring to life brand-new characters for the animated movie.

The story is launched when a new dark force threatens Ponyville and the ponies must embark on a journey beyond Equestria, using the magic of friendship and save their home.

Details about the new characters have yet to be revealed, but the “Mane 6” actors who voice the core Pony herd in the popular “My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic” TV series (Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, Shannon Chan-Kent, among others) are segueing from the show to the big screen.

“Friendship Is Magic” writer Meghan McCarthy penned the screenplay. Jayson Thiessen is directing the feature, due in theaters on Oct. 6, 2017.
