*TV One is welcoming the summer with an epic Memorial Day ‘Empire’ Marathon spanning two consecutive days, Sunday, May 29 and Monday, May 30.
Viewers are invited to binge watch the deliciously devious Lyon family and their dynastic drama starting with Season 1 on Sunday, May 29 at 12 p.m. ET/Noon and Season 2 on Monday, May 30 at 7 a.m. ET. It’s every episode of television’s award-winning and most nominated series starring Academy Award nominee Terrence Howard and Academy Award and Emmy Award nominee Taraji P. Henson.

Adding to the fun of TV One’s Memorial Day Empire Marathon, TVOne TV is also launching four new online packages, including “This Ain’t New,” a think piece on the comparison between soaps of yesteryear and their modern interpretations or remixes; “Which Empire Character Are You?,” an exclusive online quiz to determine if viewers have what it takes to be a Lyon; “Music Star Copycat,” an in-depth look at which real-life musicians were the inspiration for Empire’s cast of characters; and “Best Empire Looks,” a week-to-week editorial capturing each character’s best looks.
Viewers can also explore TVOne.TV’s recently published online editorial package, “The Fight For The Throne,” showcasing the best power moves of EMPIRE’s noteworthy characters – Andre, Hakeem, Cookie, Jamal and Lucious – which include video, photographs and artwork capturing their best moments, quotes and scenes.

Set within a world of music, glamour, danger and power, EMPIRE is about a family dynasty that follows the head of a music empire whose three sons and ex-wife all battle for his throne. After music mogul Lucious Lyon (Howard) is diagnosed with a potentially fatal disease, he must choose which of his three sons will succeed him at the legendary Empire Entertainment.

‘Empire’ stars Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Trai Byers, Grace Gealey, Kaitlin Doubleday, Gabourey Sidibe, Ta’Rhonda Jones and Serayah McNeill.
In addition to the regular cast, the series has featured guest appearances by a wide range of talented performers, including Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Marisa Tomei, Naomi Campbell, Ludacris, Adam Rodriguez, Vivica A. Fox, Rosie O’ Donnell and Andre Royo.
