*As previously reported, Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Public Enemy’s Chuck D, Cypress Hill’s B-Real, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk have formed a new supergroup called Prophets of Rage, with plans on engaging and inciting political activism in this time of electoral turmoil.

“Our nation and the world are on the brink of absolute electoral insanity at home [and] environmental insanity around the globe,” Morello (in a Make America Rage Again hat) told Bloomberg Politics’ Mark Halperin and John Heilemann this week. B-Real added: “There’s no music that speaks to what’s going on right now. Nothing with substance.”

The group says it’s a no-brainer that they’ll bring their “rock and roll/hip hop fury” to Cleveland during the Republican National Convention. Morello said Cleveland “will be a perfect place for a band like Prophets of Rage to cause a ruckus, and we will be there in the streets, on the field.” He added that they have a venue selected and other plans for “spontaneous venues,” which he said are the “kind of things you don’t want to broadcast to the local authorities.”

No word if they’ll also perform during the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

The group played their inaugural show recently at LA’s Whisky a Go Go. Watch their segment from Bloomberg Politics below:
