*For theater fans who were never able to score tickets to Hamilton, and lament the fact that you’ll never get to see the Tony winning musical with its original Broadway cast, there may be hope.

Creator and star Lin–Manuel Miranda announced that two shows will be taped prior to his and costars Phillipa Soo and Leslie Odom, Jr.’s exit from the musical on July 9.

Exactly where the footage will be shown, however, has yet to be determined.

“We don’t know what we’re doing with that footage,” Miranda said during a Periscope chat with fans on Twitter. “We’re going to film it as best we can in the highest quality thing that exists, and then we’re going to put it away. I want you to rest easy knowing that I’m leaving, Pipa’s leaving, Leslie’s leaving, but this thing is going to exist. We’ve been working it for months to make it happen.”

Miranda also announced that Jonathan Groff, part of the original Broadway cast, will return to play to his role of King George III, currently portrayed by Rory O’Malley.

In addition to the taped performances (which might not ever be released for public viewing), PBS is currently filming a documentary on the musical, which Miranda says will premiere in October. There is also a Hamilton mixtape in the works, due in November.
