*Newly discovered recordings made during the writing of Michael Jackson’s 1988 autobiography “Moonwalk” reveal what the King of Pop really thought about his musical rival Prince.

“I don’t like to be compared to Prince at all,” Jackson told the interviewer in the conversation, according to excerpts of the transcript shared by the Daily Mirror.

“I have proven myself since I was real little. It’s not fair,” MJ reportedly said. “[Prince] feels like I’m his opponent. I hope he changes because boy, he’s gonna get hurt. He’s the type that might commit suicide or something.”

MJ also said that Prince was impolite to him, as well as his family.

“He was so rude, one of rudest people I have ever met,” he said, according to the Daily Mirror. “Prince is very competitive. He has been very mean and nasty to my family.”

Michael also brought up the 1983 James Brown show during which both Jackson and Prince appeared. Prince famously mistook a paper mache stage lamppost for a real one and fell into the crowd. Jackson recalled: “He was a joke. People were running and screaming. I was so embarrassed. It was all on video.”
