‘VH1 Hip Hop Honors’ Adds Salt-N-Pepa to Honorees

*Salt-N-Pepa featuring Spinderella have been added to the list of honorees set for “VH1’s Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens.”

The Queens-based trio join previously announced honorees Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott for the show’s return next month following a six year absence. The group was also recognized at the “2005 Hip Hop Honors.”

Comprised of Cheryl “Salt” James and Sandy “Pepa” Denton alongside DJ Spinderella, Salt-N-Pepa have become hip hop legends due to such classics as 1988’s “Push It,” 1994’s En Vogue-assisted “Whatta Man” and 1993’s “Shoop.”

VH1’s Hip Hop Honors: All Hail The Queens” airs live from New York on July 11 at 9 p.m. ET.
