*Adele kicked off the North American leg of her world tour in St. Paul, Minnesota last night and took some time to honor Twin Cities icon Prince — in her own special way.

After finishing her main set and going backstage, Prince’s video for his 1995 hit “The Most Beautiful Girl In the World” played in its entirety on the screen.

Watch below:

When Adele returned for her encore, she admitted that she didn’t feel worthy to actually sing one of his songs as a tribute.

“Did you enjoy that Prince video?” she asked the crowd of about 15,000. “I did consider covering a song but then I was like, ‘F**k it, it’s Prince!”

She also said that her team wondered if they should censor the tune — any plans of which Adele quickly halted. “You can’t censor Prince in his hometown!”
