*Amin Joseph has landed a series regular role on FX’s “Snowfall,” John Singleton’s drama pilot centered on the 1980s cocaine-epidemic.

Alon Aboutboul has also joined the series, which was co-created and executive produced by Singleton and Erick Amadio, and directed by El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

The script has been undergoing rewrites since at least April, when Deadline Hollywood reported that executive producer/showrunner Dave Andron was spearheading the changes, with Singleton and Amadio involved in the process.

The story, at least originally, focused on three main characters – ambitious dealer Franklin Saint, Mexican wrestler-turned-gangster Gustavo Zapata and prodigal son Logan Miller.

Joseph has been cast to portray Franklin’s uncle, Jerome Saint, a prison hardened hustler and low-key weed dealer, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Aboutboul will play Avi Drexler, an unpredictable cocaine dealer operating in the San Fernando Valley.
