*The 2016 BET Awards which were held June 26 at the Microsoft Theater – at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles – had all the stars gracing the red carpet in their Sunday’s Best.
EURweb (home of the Electronic Urban Report/EUR) hit the platinum carpet right before the show started to talk to the celebs and see what music they’ll be jamming in their headphones all Summer 16.
Christian Keyes showed up with his mini me, Christian Keys Jr., and told us he felt it was important to bring his son out because this show is about “us acknowledging us and us supporting us.” His son loves music and told us that he listens to everything from Drake and Bryson Tiller to 21 Pilots.
Keyes wasn’t the only one to bring family though. Meagan Good brought her sister La’Myia Good-Bellinger who is also married to Eric Bellinger and enjoys listening to … yep … you guessed it, Eric Bellinger.
Raven Goodwin who stars alongside Gabrielle Union in BET’s scripted series “Being Mary Jane” told EUR associate Kiki Ayers that she loves listening to Chance The Rapper, Drake’s “Views From The 6,” Rihanna’s “ANTI,” and anything with a Caribbean vibe like “Controlla.”
Silento told us when he wants to get hype he listens to nothing but Atlanta music such as Migos and Future. A lot of stars also admittedly are listening to their own music.
“My summer anthem is ‘Amen,’ said Anthony Hamilton. “Get that new album.”
Rapper Young Thug said his summer anthem is a new single he just put out called “Gangsta Sh*t,” whereas former Love and Hip Hop Hollywood star Milan Christopher said his anthem is “F*ck Was You Thinking,” by no other than Milan Christopher.
