*With social media making it easy for everyone to create entertaining videos we share daily, it may deceive one into thinking that landing a producing job of some sort with big name companies is easy as pie. However, Hollywood reality TV producer, Endyia Kinney-Sterns would tell you otherwise.
Endyia has 15 plus years of experience in producing quality television for major networks such as OWN, VH1, CBS, NBC, HGTV, TV One, and BET. In fact, she’s worked as Vice President of Programming alongside Oprah Winfrey creating content for the OWN network for many years. The exec has worked with celebrities like Keyshia Cole, Evelyn Lozada and Wayne Brady just to name a few.
Recently, Endyia steered away from her norm to start her own production company. Her reasoning behind the change was to allow her creativity to flow without boundaries and with someone whose background is extensive as hers, who could blame her.
“I transitioned out of OWN because I had been a network executive for many many years and what that entails is focusing on one person’s brand. So you can’t really color outside the lines, outside of what that brand needs or wants; and I’m a creative person. I want to do more than unscripted.”
Not only does she plan on expanding her brand in production, Endyia will be hosting an insider’s workshop teaching those interested in producing reality television. Attendees can plan to receive the “Real on Reality Television.” This workshop will be held Saturday July 9, 2016 at the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood. It is designed to give participants an intensive training experience in an informational setting.
