*Michelle Obama looked like she wanted to give George W. Bush a motherly “stop it!” during the close of Tuesday’s memorial for the five slain police officers in Dallas.
Following an emotional service capped by an epic speech from President Obama, a performance of the “Battle Hymn of the Republic” boomed through the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and appeared to have the 70-year-old former President of the United States turnt.
While gripping the hands of FLOTUS and his wife Laura Bush, W. smiled and swayed gleefully from side to side, at one point singing directly into Michelle Obama’s ear.
Watch below:
Social media was on him immediately, saying he was being disrespectful with his antics at such a somber occasion.
“What an awkward time to be dancing like that,” one user wrote on a CNN video of the memorial. “I feel like Michelle’s face is like ‘what is this guy doing?'”
Another user wrote, “Are you kidding me? He’s an idiot. This is not the time or place to be dancing with a big smile on his face! What an embarrassment.”
On Twitter, @BeardedGenius wrote, “Someone tell George W Bush he’s at a funeral.”

Others came to Bush’s defense:
Commenting on CNN’s clip posted to Facebook, someone wrote: “Can you imagine being in a room with 2k or more officers and hearing that magnificent song and realizing for one moment…just for one moment…we all were getting along and singing praise? I would be swaying and rejoicing myself. God Bless this beautiful country and God’s speed to those fallen officers in this funeral service.”
