*Former Congressman Joe Walsh talked his threatening tweet to President Obama during an interview with CNN’s Don Lemon over the weekend.
Walsh took down a tweet amid the horror in Dallas in which he said, “This is now war. Watch out Obama. Watch out black lives matter punks. Real America is coming after you.”
The former congressman made a point to say that he didn’t delete the tweet. “Twitter shut me down” until he removed it, he clarified.
Walsh said he tweeted that because he’s “pissed off” at how there’s “a war on our cops” and “it started with Barack Obama.”
He claimed that Obama has accused all cops of racism by speaking of systemic racism. Lemon countered, “If we’re speaking on facts here, not emotion… those words never came out of his mouth.”
Walsh insisted he was in the right and said, “That kind of hating leads to what you got in Dallas.”
Lemon asked him what he meant when he said “real Americans” are coming for Obama. Walsh said real Americans respect the cops. Lemon said that maybe “real Americans respect the office of the presidency.”
