*Uninterrupted, the Time Warner-backed sports media company founded by NBA superstar LeBron James, has hired filmmaker Gotham Chopra as executive producer to lead the development of original programming, reports Variety.

Chopra, the son of Deepak Chopra, has produced sports documentaries including “Kobe Bryant’s Muse” for Showtime and “The Little Master” on Indian cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar as part of ESPN’s “30 for 30” series.

His latest film is “I Am Giant” about New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz on Showtime, and Chopra’s creative team is also committed to producing two original series with Uninterrupted, “72 Hours” and “The Greatness Code.”

“I’m extremely excited about the high caliber of creativity, innovative thinking, and strategic vision we are adding into the Uninterrupted mix with Gotham on the creative side and with Devin leading the charge,” said Uninterrupted CEO Maverick Carter in a statement. “To be able to bring two of the best in the business to the table is a real game changer for what we’re building at Uninterrupted.”

Last fall, Warner Bros. Entertainment and Turner Sports announced a $15.8 million investment in Uninterrupted.

Uninterrupted, which James and Carter launched in early 2015, is dedicated to providing a platform for athletes to develop creative ideas and tell the stories most important to them.

The company distributes its content on Turner’s Bleacher Report, Facebook and Verizon’s mobile-centric go90 video service. Uninterrupted has a multiyear deal with Verizon to provide content, original series, and exclusive athlete direct videos for Go90.
