Randall Cunningham’s Daughter Vashti Headed to Rio Olympics for Track & Field

*Vashti Cunningham, the daughter of retired NFL quarterback Randall Cunningham, has just cleared a hurdle toward Rio.

One month after graduating from high school, Cunningham has joined the 2016 USA track and field team after finishing second in trials for the high jump, placing behind three-time Olympian and American record-holder Chaunte Lowe.

Cunningham, the youngest U.S. track and field athlete to reach the Olympics since 1980, will join Lowe and Inika McPherson in representing Team USA in the high jump at the Rio Games.

“I’m very appreciative, just to be able to go to the Olympics this year,” Cunningham told USA Today
