‘The Walking Dead’ Star Lennie James Joins ‘Blade Runner’ Sequel

*Lennie James of “The Walking Dead” has joined Alcorn Entertainment’s sequel to “Blade Runner,” reports Entertainment Weekly.

The actor joins Harrison Ford (who reprises his role of Rick Deckard from the 1982 original), Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Slyvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Mackenzie Davis, Dave Bautista, and Barkhad Abdi.

Details on the plot are being kept under wraps, but events will take place decades after the events of the Ridley Scott-directed original, according to EW.com.

Director Denis Villeneuve (“Sicario”) is close to beginning production on the film, which will arrive in theaters on Oct. 6, 2017.
