Alfre Woodard Joins Cast of DreamWorks’ Ghost Film ‘Haunted’

*Alfre Woodard has signed on to appear in DreamWorks’ upcoming ghost tale “Haunted,” based on the Henry James novella Turn of the Screw, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (“28 Weeks Later”) will direct the film, which centers on a young woman who starts to work at a wealthy estate that she soon realizes is haunted. She believes that the children may be possessed and begins to fear for her life.

Woodard will play a woman who works at the mansion.

The story was written by Chad Hayes & Carey Hayes. Scott Bernstein, Roy Lee and John Middleton are producing.

Woodard’s recent film credits include “Mississippi Grind” and “Captain America: Civil War.” She’ll next be seen in the Netflix series “Luke Cage” and the Netflix film “Burning Sands.”

She’s also currently shooting Netflix’s upcoming series “A Series of Unfortunate Events.”
