*BlackCulturalEvents.com is  the one place to discover a vast array of cultural choices: from museum openings, independent film screenings, literary readings, and concerts, to a directory of business and organizational listings.

BlackCulturalEvents.com

BlackCulturalEvents.com is dedicated completely to the culture, lifestyle and business enterprises of African Americans throughout Southern California.

Pamela Ashe-Thomas and her brother David Ashe launched the event calendar in February 2016 for the very reason that there was always so much happening in LA, but they found themselves searching several places to find information about Black events and businesses.

Ashe-Thomas states, “Too often I would hear about a book signing, art opening, or concert after the fact.” With her husband Eric Thomas’ background in the entertainment business, the team to bring BlackCulturalEvents.com to the public was complete.

Ashe-Thomas is especially excited about the opportunity for BlackCulturalEvents.com to create community through its subscriber newsletter and other membership activities, which include ticket giveaways and group outings, historical talks and tours, business popups and mixers, collaborations and business sponsorships.

David Ashe likes the black restaurants roster. Ashe states, “Los Angeles is in the midst of a food revolution from food trucks, to community gardens and farmer’s markets, and Los Angeles foodies will be delighted to explore restaurants and food cooperatives they may never have heard of without BlackCulturalEvents.com.”

David, Pamela and Eric, are eager to share the rich and varied cultural events happening in Los Angeles with anyone who is interested in African American culture, and it all can be found at BlackCulturalEvents.com. Launching in the Fall of 2016 will be a Subscriber email newsletter and short video profiles of featured business partners.
