Chris Paul Family Foundation Returns to the Watts-Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club

*Chris Paul – LA Clippers All Star point guard and founder of the Chris Paul Family Foundation Gary Woodland – CDW golf ambassador and professional golfer, PGA Tour Calvin Lyons – President and CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro LA Ben Weiss – Director, nonprofit sector, CDW Just in time for the first day of school, the Chris Paul Family Foundation will return to the Roy W. Roberts II Watts/Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club with CDW, a leading provider of technology solutions and services. The two organizations will be updating the technology installed last year with CDW’s Tech Fore! Kids.

On Monday, August 15, CDW, NBA all-star Chris Paul’s Chris Paul Family Foundation, and CDW golf ambassador and PGA Tour professional Gary Woodland will unveil CDW’s Tech Fore! Kids makeover with an event at the Watts/Willowbrook Boys and Girls Club.

The makeover will consist of technology upgrades, including Lenovo tablets and notebooks. The technology will support not only administrative tasks, but also after-school programming to local youth – everything from mentorship and tutoring to career preparedness and the arts. The team will also install a state-of- the-art GOLFZON golf simulator and partner with The First Tee to help teach the kids the fundamentals of the game.

In keeping with the Boys & Girls Clubs organizational mission, the Chris Paul Family Foundation and CDW both aim to inspire and enable all youth to realize their full potential. These efforts also exemplify both organizations’ commitment to serve as a leaders and trusted partners in the communities they serve, sharing technology to help improve local neighborhoods.

Monday’s event will feature the official unveiling of the new technology, as well as remarks from Chris Paul, The Boys & Girls Clubs’ Calvin Lyons, and CDW director Ben Weiss. Chris Paul and Gary Woodland, along with GOLFZON ambassador and LPGA player Alison Lee, will participate in a golf clinic with local students immediately following the unveiling ceremony.
