*Comedian Lavell Crawford stunned all when he revealed his over 100 pound weight loss at the recent Neighborhood Awards in Las Vegas. Crawford had everyone talking after appearing on stage looking a lot smaller since his “Breaking Bad” days. As it turns out, he underwent a gastric sleeve operation and ended up dropping 120 pounds.
Since then, he’s been active to keep his weight down. According to The Grio, he finally decided to get his weight in check so that he can live a long, healthy life for his wife and son. As he told Sway in the Morning earlier in the year:
“I’m having the sleeve done. I’m 47 and I’ve got a beautiful 5-year-old son that I want to be around for. I’ve got a beautiful wife that I want to be here for. I don’t want to leave her hanging.”

Crawford made his breakthrough on NBC’s competition series “Last Comic Standing,” Season 5, at the age of 39.
“I was unknown,” he said. “Working at Best Buy, getting fired, working for the city, chasing dreams, trying to get out of my mother’s house before she kicked me out.”
Crawford beat out Amy Schumer that season, finishing second to Schumer’s fourth.
“She’s very talented. She hung in there,” he said. “At the time, she hadn’t been doing it for very long. She was actually funnier offstage. I think she finally found a way to get rid of her nervousness so she could show people what she could do.”
Crawford’s comedy is mostly drawn from his personal life. These days, he jokes a great deal about fatherhood.
